👋 Meet the Team – Tomaz, Software Developer

Tomaz has been part of Waytobill since day one, serving as the lead developer for the backend team. His role involves designing and building technical solutions, supporting team members, and ensuring the product is consistently robust and reliable. With over two decades in IT and extensive experience in finance and gaming industries, Tomaz brings deep expertise to every project.

He especially appreciates Waytobill’s culture of transparency and trust. “I value the freedom to work in ways that suit me best, and I love being close to the end user, seeing firsthand how my work makes a difference,” Tomaz says. He’s particularly proud of Waytobill’s commitment to building quality products without shortcuts: “We’ve avoided quick hacks that might save time initially but cause issues down the road.”

Outside work, Tomaz spends his free time with his family—his wife, two sons, and two cats. He’s often on the football pitch coaching both of his sons’ teams. Tomaz also enjoys collecting and building LEGO, preferably accompanied by black coffee of any brand.

Fun fact: Tomaz competed in the Programming Olympics when he was 19. “Not the real Olympics,” he laughs, “but close enough!”
